As a Buyer III with a specialization in machinery and R&D procurement, you will play a critical role in supporting our company's growth and innovation. You will collaborate closely with our R&D teams to identify, source, and procure machinery and equipment essential for our research and development projects. Your strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and technical knowledge will be vital in ensuring the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with R&D teams to understand machinery and equipment needs for various projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors specializing in machinery.
- Conduct market research to identify potential machinery suppliers, staying up-to-date with industry trends.
- Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Evaluate supplier performance and ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards.
- Manage the procurement process, from initial request to purchase order issuance.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development of a strategic procurement plan for machinery and equipment.
- Provide cost analysis and cost-saving recommendations to management.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and expenditures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with a focus on machinery and equipment.
- Knowledge of machinery and equipment used in an R&D environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective supplier relationships.

- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
