Job Title: Category Manager
Job Location: Hybrid in Philadelphia, PA (2-3 times per month on-site)
A major healthcare system based in Philadelphia, PA is looking to hire a Category Manager to join their procurement team. This organization was ranked #1 by Forbes for large employers as they allow you the chance to make a major impact in the lives of children and families in the local area as everyone works towards one mission. This candidate will manage mostly indirect categories including facilities, security, and food services as well as office supplies.
The Category Manager will be responsible for:
- Identify cost saving initiatives by working closely with suppliers and leading negotiations with business partners and monitoring end user satisfaction
- Responsible for commodity contracting including the entire life cycle
- Manage projects and improve processes, working closely with customers throughout the entire strategic sourcing process
- Mentor junior contract administrators and sourcing analysts
- Collaborate with every level of the supply chain to ensure a cohesive procurement process
The Category Manager should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement/strategic sourcing
- Strong cost savings background
- Experience with ERP systems, Excel, PowerPoint, and data analyst
- Experience managing multiple projects at once
