Our client, a leading player in the Heavy Machinery sector, with over 50,000 employees, is currently seeking a Category Manager MRO to join their team which can be based in multiple sites across Europe. As a Category Manager MRO, you will be responsible for transforming the procurement strategy of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials and services for the company's operations across Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement of MRO materials and services for the company's operations across Europe
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise cost, quality, and delivery performance
- Procurement transformation of the whole MRO category
- Conduct supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management activities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their MRO requirements and ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions as necessary
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations
Mandatory Skills:
- At least 6 years of experience in procurement
- Knowledge of MRO materials and services
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English
- Change management skills
