A fast-growing Food and Beverage company is looking to hire a new Director of Logistics to join the Supply Chain leadership team and help propel the business to the next level. The successful candidate will have an exciting mix of both strategic and operational responsibilities, and be tasked with building and scaling a new transportation strategic roadmap, together with overseeing important day to day distribution, warehousing and logistics responsibilities, whilst managing a team of direct reports
Key Responsibilities:
ยท Build, develop and deliver a new transportation strategy to optimize freight and delivery costs
ยท Manage carrier network, freight sourcing, and 3PL performance of logistics activities
ยท Lead distribution and warehousing operations
ยท Oversee freight P&L to ensure profitability across the network
ยท Direct distribution & logistics activities including productivity, labor costs, and inventory levels
ยท Resolve all shipment conflicts via 3rd party partners to delivery world class customer service
The successful candidate will ideally have:
ยท Bachelor's degree (ideally in an analytical subject)
ยท 7+ years Transportation & Logistics experience
ยท Proven experience with managing 3rd party Transportation and conducting RFPs
ยท Strong leader with good examples of improving performance
ยท KPI implementation experience
ยท Extensive cost saving accomplishments
