Responsibilities:
- Lead staff in accordance with facility safety standards
- Assist site-based management team to execute against safety and environmental standards
- Maintain working relationship with local, state and and federal authorities
- Maintain OSHA 300 Log/Reporting
- Responsible for all OSHA audits
- Conduct internal safety/environmental assessments
- Maintain internal communications with employees
- Manage corrective action processes (internal and external)
- Train employees through EHS and OSHA compliance activities
- Follow-up with corrective actions resulting from assessments by internal audits or external agencies
- Administer employee occupational safety and health program
- Complete quality & food safety system documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience/training required
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience within a safety role
- In-depth knowledge of MNOSHA/OSHA standards
- Ability to form strong working relationships, build trust and maintain confidentiality
- Provide excellent employee relations and customer service
- Self-starter, high energy, shows initiative and creativity
- Patient, flexible, collaborative team player with a "can do" attitude
- Passion for developing people and supporting business growth
- Strong computer skills, including all MS Office applications
