Food Safety Quality Manager required for Leading Food Production Firm

A nationally leading food production firm is seeking a Food Safety Quality Manager to lead their quality team.
This Manager will develop and implement the QA and QC within the facility. They will report directly to the VP of Quality and Food Safety, leveraging a strong Quality Management background to ensure all processes meet regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will have the following skillset
- 3+ years Quality supervisory/management experience in Food Production/Beverage industry
- Strong Communication and leadership skills
- SQF or BRC Certifications (SQF Practitioner is a plus)
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, FDA, and USDA
- Bachelors' Degree or Relevant work experience
- Experienced with canned foods is a plus
- Experience of various food processing technologies
- Experience with Dairy is a plus
- Needs strong leadership/management experience
The Food Safety Quality Manger will have the following responsibilities:
- Ensure that the products meet regulatory compliance's
- Plan and oversee all quality systems implementation and product testing
- Enhance current quality processes and systems
- Work with R & D team to ensure products are in line with standards requirements
- Ensure the team is in line with policies of Food Safety and GMP
- Create and implement systems to augment current processes and increase efficiency
- Verify that procedures and materials meet safety requirements
- Implements quality enhancements to avoid future problems
- Implement FDA regulatory compliance such as Good Manufacturing Practices
- Verify processes and product compliance with Organics requirements
