A successful, growing Food business is looking to hire a new Logistics Supervisor to work in one of their high performing key warehouses and ensure the day to day operational standards are maintained and exceeded to help the business continue its ongoing journey of impressive growth. The business is seeking a goal orientated, self-motivated leader to specifically ensure and oversee product is shipped and received according to schedules with productivity, cost, safety and quality optimized as best as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review day to day production sequencing and scheduling
- Maintain daily shipping schedule
- Ensure timely efficient shipment of product to customers
- Lead and oversee training of personnel in job responsibilities and performance including proper and safe handling of tools, machinery, and equipment
- Recommend improvements and measures to quality of product, production methods and department operations
- Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), Quality Practices, Food Safety, SQF (Safe Quality Food) and USDA regulations
The successful candidate will have:
- 3 to 5 years experience in a Supervisory/Management role in a Warehouse/Distribution Center
- Working knowledge of Food safety (ideal, but not essential)
- Bilingual, English and Spanish (ideal, but not essential)
- Strong team collaboration and team building skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
