My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Eastern Kentucky. **Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Preventative Maintenance:**
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and systems.
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and ensure equipment remains in optimal working condition.
2. **Calibration:**
- Maintain and calibrate various pharmaceutical equipment and instruments to ensure precise and accurate performance.
- Document all calibration activities in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
3. **Utility Management:**
- Oversee the maintenance of utility systems, including HVAC, water purification, and electrical systems.
- Respond to utility-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain regulatory compliance.
4. **Equipment Engineering:**
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, install, and optimize pharmaceutical production equipment.
- Assist in evaluating new equipment and technology for potential implementation.
5. **Regulatory Compliance:**
- Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to cGMP, FDA, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Document and maintain accurate records for audits and inspections.
6. **Continuous Improvement:**
- Identify areas for process improvement and develop strategies to enhance maintenance efficiency.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to reduce equipment downtime.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in maintenance and engineering roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and utilities.
- Familiarity with cGMP and FDA regulations.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
