DSJ is currently partnered with a leading Global Packaging Organization that is looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to their growing team. This Mechanical Design Engineer will be focusing heavily on designing and developing the mechanics of packaging machinery.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide standard machinery designs for solving customer's packaging needs and develop effective packaging processes
- Use 3D modeling to design machinery mechanicals from industry standard designs to develop innovative machinery for customer's needs.
- Create and maintain mechanical bills of materials, in a structured format and submit to production for manufacturing on the specific equipment.
- Develop working assembly drawings for production and customer usage in component identification.
- Detail working drawing mechanics for economical manufacturing practices.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Science Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of experience
- Experience in Mechanical and Pneumatic Design of Packaging machinery
- Design Experience
- 3D Modeling experience
Desired Skills:
- Good analytical and mathematical skills.
- Good verbal and written communications skills.
- Knowledge of standard drafting practices.
- Good understanding of manufacturing practices.
- Capable of construction and implementing mechanical designs.
