Job Summary:
We are looking for a Process Control Engineer to design, develop, and maintain control systems for our renewable energy facilities. As a Process Control Engineer at [Your Company Name], you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our renewable energy plants. You will be responsible for implementing Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems to optimize our energy production and ensure the highest levels of reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- HMI and PLC System Design: Design, develop, and implement HMI and PLC systems for renewable energy facilities to monitor and control various processes, including wind turbines, solar panels, and energy storage systems.
- System Integration: Integrate HMI and PLC systems with other plant control systems, data acquisition systems, and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems to ensure seamless communication and data exchange.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of control systems to ensure uninterrupted plant operations. Respond to alarms and system malfunctions promptly.
- Optimization: Continuously analyze system performance data and make improvements to enhance energy efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all control systems and related processes adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations and changes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, technicians, and operators, to implement process control solutions and address operational issues.
- Training: Provide training and support to plant operators to ensure they can effectively operate and maintain HMI and PLC systems.
- Technology Evaluation: Stay updated on the latest advancements in HMI and PLC technologies, making recommendations for upgrades or replacements as needed.
- Applies principles, knowledge, and practices of process controls for timely identification, analysis and resolution of process controls related issues to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-efficient plant operations.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or 5 years of experience in process control with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years of experience in Process Control Engineering occupation
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining HMI and PLC systems in a renewable energy or industrial setting.
- Experience with PLC programming Software: Siemens Simatic Manager and TIA Portal or Allen Bradley ControlLogix
- Experience with VFDs: Allen Bradley Powerflex, Siemens G120, or Schneider Altivar
- Familiar with NFPA 70 and National Electric Code
- Good understanding of required Codes, Standards, Acts and Regulations and awareness of various international Codes, Standards, Acts and Regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with renewable energy technologies is a plus.
