Key Responsibilities
- Development and formal execution of sourcing category strategies and best practices associated with bidding, negotiation, and supplier development.
- Identification, attaining commitment, and implementation of cost-out improvement opportunities
- Understands and communicates customer requirements and has the ability to translate those needs to respective teams to ensure the client is provided with the correct solutions available.
- Maintain knowledge of market trends including, market drivers, cost structures, technical improvements, innovation, and competitive landscape
- Ambitious with excellent communication & negotiation skills, very hands on, strong business acumen, organisational skills, commercial sense, with the ability to be proactive.
- 7+ years of experience in procurement
- Pro-active, accountable, self-motivated, results focused, hands-on,
- Self-starter and ability to make and execute decisions
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Excellent Communication Skills (verbal, written and presentation skills) in English and Japanese
