Title: Procurement Manager
The Procurement Manager is responsible forโฆ
- Oversee daily operations of the Procurement Department by establishing objectives based on sale projections and inventory needs
- Manage the end2end procurement functions to efficiently support organizational operations
- Implement and lead procurement strategies for the business
- Track key functional metrics to result in cost savings and drive efficiencies
- Manage procurement policies to make sure all items are purchased and delivered on time while finding the best costs
- Mitigate risk within procurement activities
- Develop a standard procedure for procurement processes
- Drive continuous improvement on procurement processes
- Monitor supplier compliance
- Manage supplier cost, quality, and delivery performance
- Oversee and improve vendor performance
- Find root causes and develop solutions for any issues
- Manage and develop the procurement and planning staff
The Procurement Manager should have the following qualificationsโฆ
- BA degree is required
- APICS certification desired
- Food, Consumer Product, or Manufacturing experience with commodity sensitive businesses
- Experience with ERP systems
- Experience with manufacturing models such as MRP, MPS, WMS
- Strong leadership capability
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
