The role entails overseeing three on-site manufacturing units and collaborating with corporate staff and external business partners. This position reports to the site manager, and the Production Manager will have team managers and process engineers reporting directly to them.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe and efficient coordination of operations to achieve production and quality objectives while staying within budget constraints
- Oversee a workforce comprised of both unionized hourly employees and salaried non-union staff
- Manage budgets and controlling costs effectively
- Identify opportunities for enhancing cost-efficiency
- Guarantee that staff receive appropriate training to perform their roles competently
- Supervising external contractors when necessary
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant technical experience
- 2-5 years of manufacturing supervision experience
- Experience in union environment
- Chemical/Hazardous Material Experience
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, including change management skills
