Production Manager needed for a Leading Food/Beverage/Chemicals Corporation

A global leader in dairy products and functional ingredients is seeking a Production Manager to oversee all aspects of the Production and Manufacturing departments in one of their key facilities in New York. The production manager will work in collaboration with a diverse range of highly motivated and passionate people to ensure the highest levels of safety, quality, productivity, and environmental
Responsibilities for the Production Manager include:
- Responsible for all aspects of the Production and Manufacturing departments
- Work cross functionally to ensure plant machines are safely operating and compliant with company standards
- Make sure that short-term and long-term production and business targets are met
- Ensure that high-quality and safe products are produced that satisfy customers' needs
- Develop and maintain production plans to ensure orders are completed on time
- Managing a team
- Assure that department expenses are in line with budget goals
- Coach and develop Supervisors and team in balancing the delivery of high productivity, quality, and customer service
- Ensure GMP standards are met
- Provide and maintain a safe work environment by directing safety training, generating, and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Ideal of Qualifications for the Production Manager include:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5+ years' experience managing/supervising in a manufacturing setting
- Manufacturing experience in dairy or food a plus
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry such as: food, beverage, pharmaceuticals, chemicals a plus
- Ability to understand quality management systems and the International Organization for Standardization's (ISO) global standards
- Working knowledge of GMP and Safety Regulation and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure objectives are achieved
- Experience establishing and delivering KPIs and goals for a team
- Experience managing budgets
