My client is a World-Leading Chemicals multinational turning over 22 billion euros with over 50,000 employees. The role will play a key role in leading the strategic sourcing of logistics of their adhesives and consumer brand business units across the Greater China region.
- Implementation of regional Purchasing Logistics/Warehousing Strategy and Projects
- Directly reporting into the APAC Category Head
- Development of mid- and long-term strategies to best leverage of the global supply base
- Definition and management of the supplier portfolio as well as establishment of new strategic supplier relationships
- Operation with Supply Chain teams of the business units to identify projects leading to cost reduction and service improvement
- Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehousing
- Direct, optimise and coordinate order cycle
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers
- Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels,
- Resolve any arising problems or complaints
- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
- Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements
- Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
