Quality Supervisor (FSQA) needed for a Fortune-500 Food/Beverage Manufacturer

A global branded food company with over $5B in annual revenue is seeking a Quality Assurance and Food Safety Supervisor in their food manufacturing site. The FSQA Supervisor will be directly involved in all Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) and continuous improvement within the manufacturing facility. The Food Safety Quality Assurance Supervisor will be responsible for implementing/upholding food safety and quality procedures while providing leadership to the plant employees
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on management, food manufacturing, or quality, related
- Proven knowledge of food safety and quality assurance initiatives
- 4+ years' experience in food, food safety qualifications in a manufacturing facility
- Proven ability to provide supervision and guidance to ensure QA standards for quality, food safety are met
- Familiarity with SSOP, HACCP, USDA, FDA regulations
- Ability to provide daily supervision and training to QA Technicians
- LEAN Six Sigma Certification preferred
Responsibilities of the Quality Supervisor
- Ensure all manufacturing processes in the plant are in line with an autonomous Quality organization
- Ensure proper upheaval of GMP, ISO, Quality and Food Safety standards
- Drive continuous improvement in food safety, quality
- Conduct Quality audits to ensure plant is in accordance with FDA/USDA regulations
- Develop, implement and uphold strategic initiatives to ensure long-term goals are met for the manufacturing plant
- Maintain a comprehensive quality system and strategy that is in compliance with regulatory standards
- Prepare SOPs for department to guarantee compliance with industry regulations and standards
- Provide leadership
