Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain plant safety programs
- Recommend policy changes while keeping informed on current EHS regulations/legislation
- Create and conduct EHS trainings
- Conduct risk assessments and manage company's global technical standards
- Assist management in preparing EHS presentations
- Lead EHS tours/audits of plant areas while making recommendations for corrective actions
- Assist in managing capital funded projects pertaining to EHS/Security
- Manage safety and security systems; inspections and repairs
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Occupational Health & Safety
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health or Environmental or related field (or equivalent combination of education and work experience)
- Working knowledge of applicable regulations including OSHA & EPA
- Food manufacturing experience
- OSHA 30-hour training course
- Proven ability to deliver thorough and timely solutions to issues
- Program management skills
