Senior Director of Distribution for multi-billion dollar organization

Globally successful consumer goods & retail organization is looking to hire a new Senior Director of Distribution to oversee the strategic & operational day2day activities of it's 4 DCs totaling 2m+ sq ft, a team of senior direct reports, and fulfillment across wholesale, retail and ecommerce operations. This exciting position also will collaborate on strategic projects and overseeing receiving, inventory management, product returns, and throughput of small packages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple distribution centres totaling 2m+ sq ft of warehousing
- Lead, coach and develop a team of multiple direct reports and 500+ hourly staff
- Ensures that inventory and non-inventory receipts are processed timely and accurately and are appropriately placed in inventory or distributed to appropriate personnel
- Delivers testing for annual cold chain shipments and verifications, making appropriate changes to SOP's and shipments
- Manage ongoing analysis of staff and productivity needs, delivering recommended changes to Snr Management
- Ensures product is accurately and efficiently picked, packed and shipped
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Bachelor's degree (ideally in an analytical subject)
- 7+ years End2End Distribution experience within a high-volume environment
- Proven experience with Small Parcel or Small Packages
- Proven cost saving accomplishments on resume
- Experience with high volume operations
