Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager - Directs (m/f/d) to join their team in Greifswald. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of direct materials and services for the company's production sites in Germany.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for direct materials and services
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best value for the company
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure procurement activities are aligned with business needs
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and legislation
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Manage a team of procurement professionals and provide leadership and guidance to ensure high performance
Mandatory Skills:
- Direct Procurement experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices
- Knowledge of the German procurement market and regulations
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with indirect procurement
- Experience with SAP procurement systems
- Experience with international procurement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a management role
- Fluent in German and English
