Sr. Director or Director (depending upon skill-set / capabilities), Sourcing

One of the nation's leading manufacturing organizations is currently seeking a Sr. Director / Director, Sourcing to aid in the success of their growing team. The ideal individual will have a focus most heavily on sourcing and category management of direct spend categories including various raw materials (e.g., metals, chemicals, etc.). This role is a pivotal and strategic position with integration across multiple manufacturing locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of category managers to drive value and achieve cost saving targets
- Establish and manage key supplier relations and supplier negotiations
- Review suppliers and KPI development and discover new solutions in partnership with suppliers
- Work cross-functionally with other departments and key stakeholders within the company to execute short and long-term objectives
- Ability to oversee the strategic sourcing function across multiple manufacturing locations
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field
- 10+ years Sourcing experience
- Proven experience sourcing raw materials
- Proven experience leading and managing a team
- Proven supplier relationship experience
- Proven cross-functional supply chain experience
- The ability to network effectively in the industry
