A leading manufacturing company, offering custom build and architectural solutions to a wide range of industries and clientele, is looking to bring on a Senior Enterprise Category Lead. This position will be a fundamental player in strategic sourcing transformation efforts, overseeing business critical direct material categories. This role will directly report into the Director of Strategic Sourcing, and will require autonomy and experienced strategy development and implementation from candidates, as they will be part of the corporate procurement team. This position will have the opportunity to grow and develop within the company and across business units.
Role has potential to sit in Minneapolis, MN, Grand Rapids, MI, or Dallas, TX.
The Senior Enterprise Category Lead will be responsible for:
* Creating and executing fully integrated long-term strategic plans to meet objectives
* Executing successful supplier sourcing and negotiation to influence supply capabilities, efficiency, and effectiveness
* Collaborating with key stakeholders to proactively identify value-driven activities that deliver savings, working capital and continuous quality improvement
* Driving cost savings, supplier risk mitigation, supplier relationships, dual-sourcing and quality checks
* Developing and implementing sourcing strategies across assigned categories across all business unites across North America
The Senior Enterprise Category Lead should have the following qualifications:
* Proven ability to successfully negotiate and red line complex, enterprise wide contracts and terms with high-risk suppliers
* Experience leading complex, global, project teams
* Global Sourcing expertise
* 10+ years Sourcing & Category Management experience
* 5+ years' experience in direct or indirect category strategy development and implementation
* Bachelor's degree (Master's Degree a Plus)
