A prominent German Advertising and Media company headquartered in Cologne is looking for a dynamic Category Manager with a focus on Professional Services.
In this role, you will be primarily responsible for procuring services in areas such as consulting, personnel services, marketing, travel, IT, facility management/real estate, and temporary employment. Additionally, you will support other product groups.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and determining company requirements.
- Systematic design and optimisation of procurement processes.
- Strategic responsibility for the procurement process, including tenders.
- Timely evaluation of offers and suppliers, preparation of results, drafting contracts (e.g., service contracts/temporary employment), and invoice processing.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g., Supply Chain Protection Act, CSRD).
- Serving as the contact person for all internal customers, external suppliers, and service providers.
Qualifications:
- Completed commercial training and at least 3 years of professional experience in purchasing/procurement.
- Strong negotiation skills, the ability to work independently with high commitment and customer orientation.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, especially Excel, and SAP MM.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, quick comprehension of complex topics, and a hands-on mentality.
- Active problem-solving strategies and enjoyment of cross-departmental teamwork.
- Willingness to continue training and participate in trade fairs and seminars.
