Our client is a food & beverage manufacturer based out of the Los Angeles area.
The Sales & Operations Planning Manager oversees and manages the planning and S&OP process within the organization. This role aligns demand with supply, integrating sales, operations, and finance to enhance overall business performance. Collaborating with stakeholders, the Senior Manager devises and executes an effective S&OP strategy, fostering departmental alignment and supply chain optimization.
- Develop a strategic S&OP plan by collaborating with senior management and key stakeholders to support business objectives.
- Facilitate inter-departmental collaboration among sales, operations, finance, marketing, and supply chain for aligned demand forecasts, production plans, inventory levels, and financial targets.
- Lead demand planning, working closely with sales and marketing teams to generate accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and customer insights.
- Manage supply planning, collaborating with various teams to obtain accurate capacity forecasts and performance insights to ensure sufficient supply to meet demand.
- Develop production plans, inventory strategies, and distribution plans in coordination with operations and supply chain teams to support demand forecasts.
- Establish performance indicators to monitor S&OP effectiveness and provide regular reports to senior management, recommending actions for improvement.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, offering guidance on S&OP-related matters and acting as a trusted advisor.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in planning and supply chain management, identifying opportunities for process enhancement.
- Collaborate with Global S&OP HQ to support effective S&OP rollout at the zone level.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Over 10 years of progressive experience in S&OP, supply chain operations, demand and supply planning, with 7+ years in a managerial role.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and understanding of SAP system and functionality.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable with mathematical concepts and data interpretation.
- Able to work in both office and plant/warehouse settings.
