Director of Demand Planning
Location: Atlanta, GA**
Position Overview: DSJ Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Demand Planning to join our client's dynamic team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the demand planning function, driving accuracy, efficiency, and optimization within supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive demand planning strategies to meet sales forecasts and inventory targets.
- Lead the demand planning team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, operations, and finance to gather insights, align on forecasts, and optimize inventory levels.
- Utilize advanced statistical models and forecasting techniques to analyze historical data, market trends, and external factors influencing demand.
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to track forecast accuracy, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Drive process improvements and system enhancements to streamline demand planning workflows and enhance forecasting capabilities.
- Act as a key liaison with suppliers and vendors to manage lead times, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to inform demand planning strategies and drive competitive advantage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or related roles. Food and beverage industry experience preferred
- Proven leadership experience with a track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in statistical modeling, forecasting techniques, and demand planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other data analysis tools.
- APICS or other relevant certifications are a plus.
