The Head of QA Laboratory will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality control and assurance in the laboratory. This role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in managing quality operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain an effective QMS to ensure all products meet or exceed quality specifications.
- Stay current with relevant food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, ensuring the laboratory operations consistently meet legal and industry standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and accountability within the laboratory.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of test results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any quality issues.
- Drive initiatives to improve laboratory efficiency, reduce testing times, and enhance overall quality control processes.
- Actively seek out and implement best practices in laboratory operations and quality assurance
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Experience in a quality assurance or laboratory management role within the food or nutritional supplement industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, quality control, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with laboratory equipment and testing methodologies.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
