Position Summary: The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of our client's on-site production facility. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in production environments and a proven track record in continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing a large team, optimizing processes, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a large team of production staff, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Production Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations of the production facility, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to production schedules, and achievement of production targets.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and drive initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies to maintain the highest quality of products.
- Resource Management: Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize production processes.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce a safe working environment, ensuring that all safety protocols and procedures are followed.
- Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of the operational budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and financial efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as R&D, Quality Control, and Supply Chain, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of operational activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a production environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proven experience in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance and regulatory compliance in the biotech industry.
