DSJ Global is currently partnered with a fast growing food production company in Kentucky! The team is looking to add a Plant Manager to ensure that company standards are achieved with an emphasis on continuous improvement, providing support, structure, and training for employees at the plant.
Responsibilities:
- All aspects of plant management to assure cost effective, timely and efficient production and coordinate distribution of consistently high-quality products.
- Manages plant costs regarding facilities and employees with headquarter office.
- Work with a full operation management structure including maintenance, quality assurance, warehouse, sanitation, finance, and human resources.
- Leads staffing by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Setting productions shifts accomplishing product manufacturing goals by establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience in food manufacturing plant - packaging experience preferred.
- 5+ years of experience managing in a USDA and/or FDA food, meat and packaging manufacturer facility.
- HACCP certification a plus.
- Food safety knowledge.
- Team player with a positive attitude and "hands on" mentality.
