Road Freight Branch Manager (m/f/d)
Location: Nรผrnberg
Our client are a global service provider, specialised in Road Freight Transport Solutions globally, with a strong focus on Groupage, LTL, and FTL. They are now looking for an experienced Road Freight expert to join the team and lead the Nรผrnberg branch, managing the operations and sales for the site.
Responsibilities
- Management and development of the branch with approx. 50 employees
- Ensuring the operations of the branch office
- Full P&L responsibility for the branch's financial results
- Exercising management and supervisor responsibility, selecting, developing and motivating employees
- Sustainably retaining and developing employees at the location using modern management methods
- Strategic further development of the branch
- Consolidation and expansion of the regional market position through new and existing products and through corresponding sales activities (securing, supporting and expanding existing customer relationships, acquiring new customers)
- Analysing direct and indirect competitors
- Process optimisation in the areas of
- local pick up & delivery
- mainhaul concepts
- terminal handling / warehousing operations
- Optimisation of KPIs and derivation of targets and measures
- Process monitoring, optimisation and further development
Qualifications
- Vocational training in freight forwarding
- Alternatively completed studies (transport, logistics, or business administration)
- 5 years of management experience in branch management with budget responsibility in freight forwarding or general cargo environment
- High affinity for Numbers
- Experienced leadership personality
- Strong understanding of Road freight processes
- Negotiating skills
