As a Senior Instrumentation Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing maintenance reliability best practices, optimizing preventive maintenance tasks, and supporting overall maintenance activities. The Senior Instrumentation Electrical Engineer involves collaborating with different groups on-site to enhance plant safety and reliability performance.
Responsibilities of the Senior Instrumentation Electrical Engineer:
- Monitor equipment performance and make improvement recommendations.
- Provide expertise in the design and installation of new assets, optimizing life cycle costs.
- Offer design, configuration, programming, and troubleshooting for instrumentation equipment.
- Lead/support factory and site acceptance testing as required.
- Collaborate with the process control group to implement new control strategies.
- Partner with vendors and contractors for maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Support the development of equipment strategies and assess maintenance costs.
Qualifications of the Senior Instrumentation Electrical Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Control Engineering or related discipline required
- 5+ years in instrumentation and electrical systems design, installation, and maintenance in relevant industries.
- Proficient in Electrical one-line diagrams, Control logic, PLC ladder logic, Boolean logic, Cause & Effects.
- Proficient in instrumentation cabling, wiring, junction box, UPS, power supply, and distribution.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., IEEE, ISA, NFPA, NEC, IEC).
- Reading P&ID and PFD, utilizing cause and effect matrix (C&E), and preventive maintenance strategies.
