In the role of Senior Materials Manager based in the Tarpon Springs area, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the employer's business goals, which involves creating an agile end-to-end environment from order initiation to final shipment. You will lead the on-site Materials Team, fostering high performance and cultivating a culture of continual improvement.
Your duties will include:
- Spearheading the development and management of the planning, procurement, receiving, warehouse, and shipping functions.
- Collaborating with strategic sourcing to optimize inventory and service levels.
- Establishing and aligning site objectives, cultivating a culture of systemic thinking.
- Driving inventory cost savings initiatives and enhancing warehouse processes to optimize customer delivery.
- Ensuring adherence to factory planning standards and strategies.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree (an MBA is preferable) in Materials Management or Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Over 5 years of experience in materials planning within an international manufacturing and supply chain context.
- 5+ years of work history in leadership within the procurement and/or inventory management fields
- Extensive background in inventory management, logistics, demand planning, and scheduling.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in procurement and inventory management.
- Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies and ERP systems.
Additionally, advantageous qualifications:
- Proven track record of KPI enhancement
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing or 6 Sigma
- Solid understanding of RCCA and Lean principles, particularly in the context of DMS.
