Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies to secure a reliable and cost-effective supply of hardware and fasteners.
- Supplier Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with existing and potential suppliers, ensuring alignment with quality standards and cost objectives.
- Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers to achieve favorable terms, pricing, and contractual agreements while maintaining long-term partnerships.
- Cost Savings Initiatives: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality or supplier relationships.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and technological advancements to make informed sourcing decisions.
- Risk Management: Proactively assess and mitigate risks related to sourcing, supply chain disruptions, and market fluctuations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and manufacturing, to align sourcing strategies with overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in strategic sourcing, with a focus on hardware and fasteners.
- Proven track record of successful negotiations, cost savings, and supplier relationship management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements in hardware and fasteners.
