My client is looking for a talented and experienced individual to join their Procurement team as a Strategic Procurement Expert. Our client is an industry-leading manufacturing company within the automotive sector, where you will implement strategic strategies that drives the business success. As their procurement expert, you will be responsible for leading purchasing initiatives while mentoring junior buyers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- At least 5 years of experience working with procurement processes
- Experience directing teams and collaborating cross-functionally
- Proven track record of strategic processes
Skills:
Direct Procurement experience.
A deep understanding of sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts and driving cost savings through effective supplier relationships.
Automotive or manufacturing background.
Responsibilities:
* Implementing innovative solutions across all aspects of procurement
* Ensuring compliance throughout all stages of procured goods/services delivery
* Developing strong relationships between key stakeholders internally, reporting directly into the VP of Purchasing
* Mentoring Junior Buyers; guiding them around best practices regarding negotiation and purchasing techniques
