Title: Strategic Sourcing Analyst
Summary: A leading manufacturer in the Food/ Consumer industry is looking to bring on a Strategic Sourcing Analyst to their team in the Chicago area. With an annual revenue of over $360M, this client manufactures various natural products such as supplements and proteins for consumer markets. With this, you will be responsible for the analysis of strategic purchasing, sourcing, and inventory management.
The Analyst's Responsibilities:
- Analyze seasonal variations, market trends, and inventory levels to align with purchasing requirements
- Obtain supplier information for product lines, quality, pricing, and lead times
- Participate in risk assessment and supplier performance improvement plans
- Ensure all ingredients are from natural sources using non-GMO ingredients
- Assist with supplier agreements based on quality regulations
- Refer samples of new products to quality control for approval
- Review bid proposals, negotiate contracts, and analyze vendor evaluations for cost savings
The Analyst's Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required in Supply Chain Management or similar field
- 5+ year's experience in procurement/ sourcing
- Strong proficiency in MRP systems
