The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent experience) who has experience with structure stress analysis to develop and certify new aircraft and related product designs. Responsibilities
- Generate and review structural analysis of aircraft primary and secondary structures
- responsible for stress analysis and test documentation generation and review including test reports and design reports
- Assist in developing aircraft structural layout
- Lead project assignments and take responsibility for designs and design outcomes
- Mentor and coach less experienced structures engineers
- participate in personal and department continuous improvement activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (with at least 6-10+ years of experience in aircraft structural analysis)
- Strong knowledge in aircraft structure, materials and manufacturing processes
- Understanding of load paths, stability of structures, and aircraft structural behavior as well as knowledge of internal and component loads
- Knowledge of Classical hand analysis including composite laminate plate theory, Finite Element Analysis, and FAA Part 23 regulations
