In end-to-end supply chain women only fill 15% of senior positions despite making up 37% of the workforce, according to a report from Gartner. How we can we address this imbalance and drive diversity forwards? By demonstrating that gender diversity a commercial imperative - and business leaders agree. A report by McKinsey & Company found that 90% of CEOs said they prioritised gender diversity because it 'leads to better business results'. Yet the majority of their employees said their company engaged with gender diversity because it contributed to a 'positive message of the company', not because of the positive financial impact.

Why does this disparity exist between the workforce and the leadership? One answer: a lack of communication about the business case.
