As an award-winning supply chain & procurement talent partner under the Phaidon International brand, clients often ask us how to improve Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) in their workplace so they can attract, hire, and retain top talent with diverse experiences and viewpoints.

To provide data-backed insights, we have surveyed both employees and employers from our database to understand their perspectives on company culture, discrimination, development opportunities, and DE&I training and resources at their workplace to uncover trends, disparities, and areas in need of improvement.

The results can be found in Phaidon International's DE&I report, which explores overall trends across their six specialist brands, plus a breakdown of results for DSJ Global, delving into DE&I in the supply chain industry.

Disparities and Commitments from APAC Supply Chain & Procurement Employers

According to our report, 71% of APAC supply chain employers said they made provisions for diverse candidates throughout their hiring process, with the most commonly implemented measures being:

Setting overall goals for representation in their hiring strategy.

Working with talent partners, groups, job boards, or charities to source diverse talent.

Having an accessible job description or careers website.

APAC-based supply chain employers were also the most aware of discrimination, harassment, or bias at their workplaces globally. 36% said they were aware of either frequent or occasional instances, surpassing the percentages for Europe-based (32%) and USA-based employers (24%).

But awareness of the need to make changes is high: 86% of APAC supply chain employers said they were planning on making improvements to make their organization more inclusive in the next 12 months.

Discover the full views of both employers and employees and uncover new areas of focus for your DE&I strategy, helping you to improve hiring, retention, and DE&I policies based on your goals, resources, and the needs of your teams.
